Graft calculator by zone: from the Norwood scale to a quote you can explain

Giving a graft figure without showing where it comes from is the fastest way to make the patient distrust it. The TrichoSuite calculator turns an estimate into something you can show and discuss: which zones, what surface, what density.

What it does

• Zones. It works with four: frontal, mid-scalp, crown and vertex.
• Areas. You enter the cm² of each zone to treat, or take them from the 3D scan measurements.
• Norwood-Hamilton scale. It shows the typical range associated with the selected grade as a reference.
• AI analysis. Optionally it analyses the photograph to propose a scale grade, which the professional confirms or corrects.
• Result. It estimates total grafts, total cm², density in follicular units per cm² and the distribution by zone.
• Saving. The graft plan is saved on the patient's procedure and feeds the quote.

An example of how to read it

With a 40 cm² frontal zone and a target density of 35 FU/cm², the sum is direct: 1,400 units in that zone alone. If the mid-scalp adds another 30 cm² at 30 FU/cm², that is 900 more. The tool does this arithmetic per zone and adds it up; the value is that the patient sees the breakdown and the surgeon can change each line. The figures in this paragraph are a worked example, not a clinical recommendation.

What it does not do

• The screen itself says so: it is an initial estimate. The final number is confirmed at the in-person assessment and depends on the donor area and individual factors.
• It does not suggest treatments or guarantee results.
• It does not decide for the surgeon. The AI proposes a scale grade; the professional validates it.
