Confirm, move and resend

Reception reviews the pending appointment requests, confirms one and creates the appointment with no overlaps, reschedules another and resends a reminder that didn't arrive. When canceling an appointment, they write the reason and the system cancels its reminders.

The nurse sees who has arrived and who is next, calls the next patient and marks them as being seen. If a patient hasn't confirmed, the nurse can resend the reminder from the list.

What happens with no-shows

The director opens the no-show dashboard and compares the percentage of patients who don't show up depending on whether they had a deposit, a reminder or a confirmation, and decides which clinic policy is worth tightening.

Good to know The day's waiting room and the open-slot waitlist are different things. When an appointment is canceled more than two hours in advance, the slot is offered to up to three people on the waitlist, with a single-use link; today the waitlist screen lets you view and remove entries, and new entries are added through the API. Automatic sends respect the clinic's mode, and the no-show dashboard does not calculate percentages with fewer than twenty appointments.
